   The full form of SEBI is Securities and Exchange Board of India.It was established on 12 April 1988. It has got the statuary powers in 1992 with SEBI act passed by the Indian government. Its headquarter is in Mumbai. SEBI has four regional offices New Delhi, Chennai,kolkata,and Ahmahabad.

STRUCTURE OF THE SEBI  

   SEBI is managed by chairman and its member. Chairman is nominated by Union Government of India. There are eight members who who works with the chairman. Out of eight two members are the officers from the Union finance Ministry,one member from the Reserve Bank of India and rest five members are nominated by Union Government of India.

FUNCTION OF SEBI

  SEBI is entrusted with some important responsibilities which are as follows --

            SIDBI stand for Small Industries Development Bank of India. It was established on April 2 1990 under an act of Indian Parliament. The main aim of SIDBI is to act as a principle financial institution for the promotion, financing and development of the micro, small and medium enterprise sector. It also coordinates the functions of the institutions which are working in similar activities. 

          SIDBI provides financial assistance in the form of loans, grants, finance to micro finance institution for lending to micro enterprises and economically weaker sections of the society. SIDBI has initiated so many schemes for benefit of MSME and continued to be the principle lending institution for the MSME. It provides low cost credit to MSEs. In the present scenario SIDBI has playing important role in the Indian economy.

PFRDA stand for Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority. It is a statutory body for the pension regulator of India. It function under the department of financial services, Ministry of finance. It was established on 23 August 2003.Its headquarter is in Delhi.

         PFRDA is a government regulatory body which has executive, legislative and judicial powers. It promotes old age income security by establishing, developing and regulating pension funds and protects the interest of pensioners. Nowadays PFRDA is regulating National Pension System and Atal Pension Yojna. It is responsible for appointment of various helping agencies such as Central Record Keeping Agencies, Trustee Bank, Pension Funds, Custodian etc.

The full form of NABARD is National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. It was established by an act of parliament to enforce the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development act 1981. NABARD is an apex development bank which provides facility to credit flow for development of small industries, cottage industries, agriculture and other small businesses in rural areas.

     NHB stand for National Housing Bank. It was established on 9 July 1988 under the national housing bank at 1987. It is an apex financial institution for housing.
