FULL FORM OF Ph.D

              Ph.D stand for Doctor of philosophy. Ph.D does not necessarily study philosophy,rather it refers to its original Greek meaning which is "Love of wisdom".It is a doctorate award for original contribution to knowledge. It is very prestigious and one of the highest achieved academic degree awarded by any university. It is a post graduation programme and takes years of research and this research has to be published to award the Ph.D degree. It takes almost three years of supervision of original research work. The primary objective of the Ph.D degree is to prepare leading scientist and researcher.
