Question no. 2
Which gas in the atmosphere is essential for respiration?
Answer no. 2
Oxygen present in the atmosphere is essential for respiration?
Question no. 3
How will you prove that air supports burning?Answer no. 3
Take a candle and place it in a tub. Light the candle and fill the tub with water. Now cover the candle with an inverted glass. It is observed that candle blows out after burning some time and the water level inside the inverted glass rises to some extent.
The component part of air (i.e. oxygen) inside the glass is used up in burning. After blows out candle water occupies that space. It shows that air support burning.
Question no. 4
How will you show that air is dissolved in water?
Answer no. 4
Take a glass beaker and fill it with water. Boil it. Before it start boiling bubbles appears in the bottom, these bubbles are due to air present in water. This experiment proves that air present in the water.
