WHAT IS RHD


     The full form of RHD is Rheumatic Heart Disease. RHD is a complication of rheumatic fever which effects the heart valve. It can damage the heart valve and may turn in heart failure and consequently death if left untreated. Rheumatic fever is an inflammatory disease that occurs during strep throat or a sore throat. Rheumatic fever affects the connective tissues of the body like in heart, brain, joints and skin. 


SYMPTOMS OF RHD


      Some of the RHD symptoms are as follows 

 1. Fever 
2. Chest pain
3. Heart palpitations
4. Swollen feet
5. Breathlessness during sleep
