FULL FORM OF IPS
WHAT IS IPS:-
IPS is stand for Indian Police Service. It is one of the three all India services of government of India. It is established in 1948.The IPS officers are recruited by the exam Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The controlling authority of IPS is the ministry of home affairs.The IPS officers may be appoint in the following departments-
1. Crime branch
2. Research and analysis wing
3. Criminal Investigation department
4. Home Guard
5.Traffic Bureau etc
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO BECOME IPS OFFICER:
EDUCATION:
The candidate must have a degree from any recognised university.
AGE:
General- 21 to 32 year
Other backward Classes- 21 to 35 year
SC/ST- 21 to 37 year
Physically handicapped - The Maximum age for a candidate is 42.45,47 years for general. OBC,SC/ST respectively
