                 Taj Mahal is a white tomb built in  between 1631 and 1648 by the Mugal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife ,Mumtaz Mahal.Taj mahal is situated in Agra city of Uttar Pradesh in India.It is one of the beautiful tourist place in the world and India's biggest tourist attraction.

                It is listed as one of the  7 wonders of the world.It is situated on the bank of river Yamuna.

       Best time to visit is October,November and Februaru.

             Agra forte railway station is the nearest to the Taj Mahal.The total distance of Agra forte to Taj Mahal is aprrox 3 km.Small vehicle like Auto or Car can be taken to reach Agra Forte.

NEAREST AIRPORT TO TAJMAHAL

     The nearest airport  to  visit the Taj Mahal In India is Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.The road distance from Delhi airport to Agra is approx 225 km.

       The most popular way of getting from Delhi to Agra is by train.It will take 2 to 3 hours to reach Agra.The Main Railway Station is New Delhi.

TAJ MAHAL OPEN TIME


             Day time sunrise to sunset every day (06:00 AM to 06:00 PM) except friday.Every friday the Taj Mahal is closed  and only accessible in the afternoon for Muslims to attend prayers.

NIGHT VISIT TIME FOR TAJMAHAL

   08:30 PM to 12.30 am

     The tickets for night visit can be purchased 24 hour before from the booking counter Archeological Survey of India( address Agra circle ,22 The mall road)
