WHAT IS BSF

      The full form of BSF is Border security Force. BSF is a paramilitary force of India. The purpose of this force is to guard our country from border side. They prevent the infiltration from the border side. The administrative control of this force is under Home Ministry of India.

ESTABLISHMENT AND HEADQUARTER OF BSF


    This force is established on  1 December 1965 to see the importance of this force after attacking by Pakistan on Sardar post,Chhar bet and Beria Bet in 1965.This force was established to ensure the security of borders and handle the issue related to borders. The headquarter of BSF is in New Delhi.

FUNCTION OF BSF IN PEACE TIME


           BSF performs different task in war time as well as in peace time.
 1.BSF provides protection among the people residing near the border areas.
2. BSF prevents infiltration  and unauthorized exit from the border.
3. BSF prevents Cross border crime and illegal activities like smuggling.

FUNCTION OF BSF IN WAR TIME


        BSF performs the crucial role during war time for which it is established.

 1. BSF protects the vital installations like air fields,other important defence establishments which are near by border from the enemy commandoes,para troopers ,etc.
2. BSF performs special task entrusted to BSF with collaboration with army.
3. BSF guide the army about areas of border.
4. BSF performs anti -infiltration activities in the areas specified by the army.

     NSCCL stand for National Securities Clearing Corporation of India Limited.Now it is known as NSE clearing limited.
