WHAT IS MLA

     MLA stand for Member of Legislative Assembly.MLA is elected by voters of the constituency.

 CRITERIA FOR BECOMING MLA

     There are some basic criteria for becoming a member of legislative assembly which are as follow-

 1. The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

 2. He must be a voter of any constituency.

 3. He must be completed atleast the age of 25 years.

 4. He should not be mad or insolvent.

 RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN MLA

  1. He is responsible for development in his constituency.

 2. He is responsible for raising local issues of his constituency in front of state government through legislative assembly.

 3. He is responsible for redressel of grievance and aspiration of his constituency.
