WHAT IS PUC

        PUC stand for Pollution Under control.It belongs to a document which is mandatory for all vehicles like two wheelers,four wheelers and other commercial vehicles.This document/certificate is issued by the state transport department of a state after throughly checking a vehicle on standard parameter of pollution control.The emission test is conducted for petrol vehicles and free acceleration smoke test is conducted for diesel vehicles.

      The validity of PUC certificate is three to six months.This certificate is must to carry with vehicle and it is to be produced whenever asked by traffic police,else individual may be punished under section 190(2) of Motor Vehicle Act.
