WHAT IS STD

     The full form of STD is Subscriber Trunk Dialing. It is also called Subscriber Toll Dialing. It is used to allow subscriber to dial trunk calls a long distance outside a particular boundary without operator assistance. This system specifies STD codes for each area,called area codes. These code must be dialed by the subscriber before the phone number to make a call.
