WHAT IS MEANING OF PWD

             PWD stand for Public Works Department. It is a department of India which is responsible for construction and maintenance of public infrastructure. Public infrastructure such as roads,government buildings,public transport,drinking water system,bridges and some others.

              PWD is present in every state of India. It has divisions and sub - divisions and sections for the smooth and efficient working of the department. It is a central authority which is responsible for all types of public sectors works in India.
