       Net attendance ratio is the ratio of total number of children or persons in the official age group attending educational institution in a particular class group to the total number of the person in the age group.

HOW NET ATTENDANCE RATIO IS CALCULATED

   It can be understand by the following illustration --

  Answer -- Net attendance ratio =   Number of students of the age group 14-15
                                                               _____________________________________________  x 100 
                                                       Total population of the age group of 14-15 years

IMPORTANCE OF NET ATTENDANCE RATIO

      This ratio is required to know the educational status of the country because education acts as one of the most important sector of Indian economy. On the basis of this data government can plan to improve the education system in the country as well as causes of the lower rate if there can be revealed and improvement process can be started on the basic of causes.
