WHAT IS KINETIC ENERGY

    The kinetic energy of an object is the energy which it possesses due to motion of object. Velocity is an important factor while calculating an objectË‹s kinetic energy.

FORMULA OF KINETIC ENERGY

Kinetic Energy = 1/2 mv2

   Where m is the mass of the object 
   and v is the velocity of an object.

UNIT OF KINETIC ENERGY

The SI unit of kinetic energy is Joule which is equal to kg.m2.s-2.
The CGS unit of kinetic energy is erg.
