FULL FORM OF ETA

-
     ETA stand for Estimate Time of Arrival. It is also known as Expected time of Arrival. The entity which someone expects to arrive could be a train,aeroplane,bus,ship and courier anything. This term is generally used to give a person an idea about the time of arrival of ship,aeroplane. The time is setout in the form of specific date with expected time in hours and minutes. The expected time is measured from the past experience and with the help of formula. For instance,in public transport,the estimated time of arrival of trains,bushes,planes is calculated on the basis of their static time table,traffic intensity and current and past record of the movements.

     It can be understand with the help of following example ------

    Suppose someone wants to travel from Delhi to Kanpur by train .The distance between Delhi to Kanpur is 225km and average speed of train is 75 km per hour. So if anyone starts his journey from Delhi At 1000 AM in the morning his estimated time of arrival at Agra would be 1300 Hrs ie after the time taken of 3 hrs.
