FULL FORM OF IPO

        IPO stand for Initial Public Offering. By initial public offering a private company can go public by sale of its stock to general public. It could be any company like new company, or existing company which may be decide to be listed on an stock exchange and goes public. Companies can raise equity capital with the help of an IPO by issuing new shares to the public.
      The company which offers its share are called as an issuer. The IPO process is done with the help of investment banks. After IPO,the company's share are traded in an open market that means the bought shares can be sold by investors through secondary market trading. IPO is usually offered by companies to generate the capital to expand their business.
