WHAT IS SQL

    SQL stand for Structured query Language. It is a popular data manipulation language,which is used to retrieve and manipulate data in a relational database. Initially it was known as SEQUEL (Structured English Query Language),later the name was changed and known as  SQL. SQL is based upon relational algebra and Tuple relational calculus. It was developed by Donald D. Chamberlin and Raymond F Boyce in the early 1970s.
