FULL FORM OF CAG
CAG is stand for comptroller and Auditor General of India. It is an authority which is establish under article 148 of the constitution of India.ROLE OF CAG
CAG audits all receipt and expenditure of the government of India and the state governments,including those bodies and authorities which financed by government. It it comment on wastefulness or extravagance of expenditure and technically and or legally receipts of revenue. The CAG of India plays a unique role in Indian democracy by upholding the constitution and laws in the field of financial administration.APPOINTMENT AND TENURE
CAG is appointed by the President of India by a warrant under his hand and seal. His tenure is 6 years or 65 year of age, whichever is earlier.ESTABLISHMENT OF CAG
According to the Article 148 and 149, in 1971 the central government of India enacted the Comptroller and Auditor General (Duties, powers and condition of service) Act 1971.REMOVAL OF CAG
The CAG can be removed from his office by President of India. According to Article 124(4) of the constitution ,President can removed GAG on a legitimate ground when parliament approves with a majority of the total membership of each house in favour of impeachment and not less than two third of the members of each house present.ALSO SEE THE FULL FORMS OF -
