FULL FORM OF CID

            Full form of CID is Crime Investigation Department. It is an important organisation which is a part of investigation and intelligence wing of state police .It is headed by Additional Director General of Police and helped by Inspector General of police.

FUNCTION OF CID

            The main function of CID is to investigate the criminal cases like murder,rape,robbery,theft etc. It collects concrete evidence and facts related to the case and produce in court to prove the guilty of the criminals. These investigation can extends to different  cities and states depending upon the severity of the crime. CID takes the help of local police where they need to investigate the case.
