FULL FORM OF FSSAI


         FSSAI stand for Food Safety and Standard Authority of India.It is an independent body established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,Government of India.It has been established under the Food safety and Standard Act,2006.FSSAI is responsible for protecting and promoting public health through the regulation and supervision of food safety.

FUNCTION OF FSSAI



      The FSSAI is headed by a non-executive Chairperson,appointed by the central government not below the rank of secretary to government of India.It has six regional offices located in Delhi,Guwahati,Mumbai,Kolkata ,Cochin and Chennai.


LICENCE ISSUED BY FSSAI


     FSSAI issues three types of licence based on nature of food business and turnover.

 1.  REGISTRATION-  For turnover less than Rs 12 Lakh.
2.  STATE LICENCE- For turnover between 12 Lakh to 20 Crore.
3. CENTRAL LICENCE- For turnover over 20 Crore.

     NSCCL stand for National Securities Clearing Corporation of India Limited.Now it is known as NSE clearing limited. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of NSE which is responsible for clearing and settlement of all trades executed on NSE and deposit and collateral management and risk management function.It was the first clearing corporation to be established in India and introduced as settlement guarantee before it became a regulatory requirement.
