WHAT IS RBI
The RBI stand for Reserve Bank of India. It is the central bank of India. RBI was established on 1Apr 1935,under the reserve bank of India act. Its Headquarter is in Mumbai.FUNCTION OF RBI
The RBI uses monetary policy to create financial stability in India and it is entrusted with regulating the country's currency and credit systems. RBI is the central bank of India. The main function of RBI is to supervision of the financial sector in India which includes public sector banks,commercial banks,financial institutions and non banking financial institution.RBI formulates,implements,and monitor India's monetary policy. It also manage all foreign exchange under the Foreign Exchange Management Act of 1999. RBI acts as a regulator and supervisor of the overall financial system. It also act as a issuer of the national currency.
