FULL FORM OF NCC




              NCC stand for National Cadet Corps. It is the Military cadet corps that provides basic military training to the students of college and school level. NCC has three wing ie Air Force,Army and Navy.

ESTABLISHMENT AND HEADQUARTER OF NCC

            It is established on 16 July 1948.Its headquarter is in New Delhi. It is headed by Director General with the rank of Lieutenant General.

AIM OF NCC

          Aim of NCC is to inculcate the discipline and patriotism among the students at school and college level. This organisation helps the students to inculcate in them unity spirit,secularism,and disciplined citizens hailing from different part of the India.

TRAINING SCHEDULE OF NCC

              Every cadet of the senior or junior division has to undergo service training for a period of 4 Hrs per week .During the training year every cadet has undergo service training for a minimum period of 75% of total Hrs during school session annually.
    Total training period of senior division and senior wing is 3 years with an extension  of 1 year permissible and training period for junior division and junior wing is 2 years.

     At the end of the camp training the cadet receive a certificate of successful completion.

CERTIFICATES AND EXAMINATION OF NCC

         There are three certificates in NCC. The under mentioned are the certificates which are issued by NCC.

NCC CERTIFICATE "A"

           This certificate is achieved by Junior division/Junior wing cadet of NCC,during class year 8 and 9.The candidate must have attended a minimum 75% of total training periods. The candidate must have attended one annual training camp.

NCC CERTIFICATE "B"

         This certificates is achieved by senior division/senior wing cadet of NCC,after class 10 and and those studying for a degree. The candidate must have attended a minimum 75% of total training periods. The cadet must have attended one annual training camp /NIC. Cadets who have A certificate  awarded 10 bonus marks. An air wing cadet must do a minimum 10 glider launches.

NCC CERTIFICATE "C"

          This is highest level certificate for NCC cadets. It can be obtained in the third year of training,in the third year of degree course. The cadets must have attended two annual training camp or one annual training camp and one of the following RD Camp Delhi,Centrally organised camp. attachment training with service units,National integration camp,Foreign Cruise (Navy Wing only).
