FULL FORM OF IIT



                IIT stand for Indian Institute of Technology.It is the prestigious engineering Institute in India.It is the independent public engineering institute providing higher education in the discipline of engineering.

      IIT runs different graduate and Post graduate programme in the field of mechanical engineering,civil engineering,electrical engineering,Aerospace engineering and so others in various fields.

    There are total 23 IITs in India and five are proposed in Bhilai,Goa,Jammu and Kashmir,Karnataka and in Dhanbad.

HOW TO GET ADMISSION IN IIT



                 Joint entrance examination -Advanced (JEE-Advanced),formerly known as Indian Institute of technology -Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE).
    JEE- Advance is an academic examination held annually in India.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING IN JEE



  1.   Candidate should be less than 25 years of age,with 5 years relaxation for SC/ST and PwD candidates.
2.     Candidates can attempt examination at most two times in two consecutive years.
3.     Candidate should have qualified the class 12 Board examination in the previous year.
4.     candidate should not have accepted admission in any of the IIT earlier.

         In addition candidates are required to either be within the category wise top 20 percentile of successful candidate in the class 12 board examination, or secure 75% mark(65% for SC,ST and PwD)
