WHAT IS BP

   The BP stand for Blood Pressure. It is the pressure of circulating blood on the wall of the blood vessels. This pressure is due to work done by the heart by pumping blood through the circulatory system. Blood pressure is measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg). There are two types of blood pressure namely systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. The normal blood pressure in an adult is approximately 120 mmHg is systolic and 80 mmHg is diastolic which is normally written as 120/80 mmHg. The name of instrument which measures the blood pressure is Sphygmomanometer.
