FULL FORM OF EEG
WHAT IS EEG
EEG stand for Electroencephalogram. It is a test used assess the electrical activity in the brain. Brain cells are communicate with each other through electrical impulses. An EEG test can be used to detect any problem associated with this activity. In this test a small flat metal disc called electrodes are attached to the scalp with wires. The electrodes analyze the electrical impulses in the brain and record the signals through computer. The EEG recording appears in wavy lines with peaks and valleys. Any irregularities in pattern is a sign of seizure or other brain disorders.WHY IS AN EEG TEST REQUIRED
This test is used to detect brain disorders. This test is carried out in the following conditions;
