WHAT IS TSH
TSH stand for Thyroid Stimulating Hormone. TSH is produced by pituitary gland. A TSH test is carried out to find that thyroid gland is functioning properly. This test is detect the thyroid disorder,if untreated ,a thyroid disorder can cause health problem. The high level of thyroid is called hyperthyroidism and lover level of thyroid is called hypothyroidism. For TSH test no preparation is needed such as overnight fasting.
NORMAL RANGE OF TSH
The range of TSH is between 0.45- 4.5 milliunits per liter (mU/L) .It can vary widely based on age,sex and stage of life.
