WHAT IS IUI

     The IUI stand for Intrauterine Insemination. It is a procedure in which a fine catheter (tube) is inserted through the cervix (the natural opening of the uterus) into the uterus to deposit a sperm directly into the uterus. More commonly word used for this is Artificial Insemination.

PURPOSE OF IUI


     This treatment may be recommended in the following situations

1. In case of male infertility
2. Hostile cervical mucus
3. Unexplained Infertility
4. If the treatment with fertility drugs is not successful etc
