WHAT IS ELISA
The full form of ELISA is Enzyme Linked Immune Sorbent Assay. It is a test which is carried out to detect and measure antibody in the blood. If presence of antibodies is confirmed in the test it proves the presence of infectious agent or antigen in the blood. On the basis report of blood and presence of antibody in the blood it confirms that the person is infected or suffering from a disease.The ELISA was developed in 1970 and the term ELISA was first used by Engyall and Perima in 1971.
