WHAT IS MMR

     MMR stand for Measles,Mumps and Rubella. It is a immunization vaccine,a mixture of three live attenuated viruses which acts against the diseases like measles,mumps and rubella. It was developed by Maurice Hilleman in 1960. This vaccine helps to prevent the diseases,measles,mumps and rubella.

SCHEDULE OF MMR VACCINE


    The first dose of MMR is given to children around 9 to 15 month of age,second dose at 15 month to 6 years of age.
