WHAT IS PIVD


   PIVD stand for Prolapsed Intervertebral Disc. Prolapsed intervertebral disc may take place at any level between two vertebrae of the spine or back bone. Disc prolapse is mostly seen in low back and in neck. PIVD may lead to different diseases like disc herniation,slipped disc,disc bulging,lumbar spondylosis and sciatica.

CAUSES OF PIVD


    The causes of disc compression is divided into internal and external type. The external cause includes trauma which is common in athletes, hard workers, porters etc. The internal cause includes overweight, less toned muscle, hyper function of backbone, abnormal growth in vertebral spine etc.
