                                 WHAT IS ADP

      ADP stand for Adenosine diphosphate. It is also known as Adenosine pyrophosphate. It is an important organic compound in metabolism and is essential to the flow of energy in living cells. It consist of three important structure component; a sugar backbone attached to adenine and two phosphate groups bonded to the 5 carbon atoms of ribose. The purpose of ADP in any cell is to capture energy from other oxidation processes taking place in the cell.
