WHAT IS LH
LH stand for Luteinizing hormone. It is a gonadotropin (a hormone that affects the function of the sex organ) that is released by the pituitary gland. In female the function of LH is to control the length and sequence of the female menstrual cycle,ovulation,preparation of the uterus for implantation of a fertilized egg and an ovarian production of both estrogen and progesterone.
